2025 Goldfinch Gala
May 16, 2025 | 7:00 pm — 9:30 pm
Historic Hiyu Ferry
Docked at MOHAI (860 Terry Avenue N, Seattle)
Join us aboard the Hiyu for a night of celebration and support for historic preservation in Washington State!
Our longtime spring fundraiser, formerly known as Vintage Washington, has been re-envisioned as the Goldfinch Gala! Named for Washington’s state bird and our own annual Goldfinch Standard preservation awards, the Goldfinch Gala comes not only with a new name but with a new focus as well—expanding beyond our Most Endangered Places advocacy to spotlight the many programs and initiatives the Washington Trust operates or manages, including the Maritime Washington National Heritage Area, Washington State Main Street Program, Youth Heritage Project, and more!
This year’s Goldfinch Gala will take place on Friday, May 16, on board the historic ferry Hiyu. The main program will take place from 7:00-9:30 pm and will include a sunset cruise of Lake Union, hors d’oeuvres from Kaspars Catering, a silent and live auction featuring exciting items from our preservation partners across the state, and a chance to interact with and learn more about all of the Washington Trust’s programs. Please note: During the evening, we are offering appetizers by Kaspars Catering, including vegetarian and gluten-free options. We encourage guests to plan for a larger dinner before or after the program if needed.
Want to make your experience extra special? For only $50 more, you can board the boat at 6:00 for a VIP champagne tour with the captain and Washington Trust staff. To take advantage of this special offer, select one of the VIP champagne tour ticket types when purchasing your tickets. But don’t wait: only 50 VIP tickets are available!
6:00-7:00 pm – VIP champagne tour (VIP ticket required)
7:00-7:30 pm – General boarding
7:30 pm – Hiyu departs from MOHAI (don’t be late!)
9:30 pm – Hiyu returns to MOHAI
Unable to attend the Goldfinch Gala on May 16? You can still make a meaningful contribution to the event! All donations benefit the Washington Trust’s statewide preservation advocacy, education, and public programs.
