Hammer & Hand is a general contractor with an in-house woodshop, serving Seattle, Portland, and surrounding areas.

Since 1995, we’ve had the privilege of restoring and remodeling numerous historic homes, bringing them to modern living standards while maintaining their original profile and charm. From matching historic trim to updating building envelopes, every step is done with the highest level of detail and professionalism.

In our in-house Portland woodshop, carpenters hand-build cabinetry and windows and doors, specializing in historic accuracy, high performance, and Passive building. We ship across the US and North America.

We service our clients and collaborate with architects by harnessing 21st century building science, precision craftsmanship, and modern project management tools.
