DOWL

Established in 1962, DOWL is a multi-disciplined engineering and consulting firm based in Seattle, Washington, providing services throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Alaska. DOWL provides a broad range of cultural resources services including archival research, GIS, historic and archaeological survey and inventory, traditional cultural property studies, and consultation. We assist private groups and agencies in permitting and compliance with local, state, and federal ordinances including Washington State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), and Section 4(f) of the Department of Transportation Act. Our archaeologists, historians, and architectural historians have the expertise to assist with:
