Weinstein A+U Architects + Urban Designers

Weinstein A+U is an mid-sized architecture firm in Seattle, WA, with extensive experience in building types for public sector, private sector, and non-profit clients. Our design expertise includes adaptive re-use, renovations, additions, and historic preservation. As an example, Union Stables is a completed renovation that has preserved a 4-story urban horse stable near Pike Place Market and transformed it for contemporary office use with a seismic retrofit, a restored facade, an added fifth floor, new exit stairs, elevator, restrooms, and new mechanical and electrical systems throughout. We listen carefully to our adaptive re-use clients to understand both the history and the desired future of each project. Our detailed understanding of the local and national landmarks processes helps our clients archive their project goals, from presenting to a local landmarks preservation board to pursing federal tax credits. At Weinstein A+U, we design buildings and public spaces that are appropriate to their circumstances, are inspiring to their users, and that stand the test of time.
