PLACES is Washington’s annual statewide conference focused on the continued care of place through historic preservation, placemaking, and economic vitality, brought to you by the Washington Trust for Historic Preservation and the Department of Archaeology & Historic Preservation. We’re excited to announce that this year’s conference will be hosted in Walla Walla on October 16-18, 2024.
Longtime attendees of our annual conference know that we like to use the downtown as our classroom, which includes utilizing a variety of spaces as venue space. While we’ll venture out to new spaces for some of our special events, networking sessions, and mobile tours, the majority of our classroom sessions this year will take place at the Marcus Whitman Hotel.
We recommend booking your lodging as soon as possible, as we expect the room blocks to fill up quickly. Before you do that, though, take a look at our schedule at a glance to ensure your reservations align with all conference activities you’re participating in. We can’t wait to see you in Walla Walla!
