Our Stimson-Green Dances ballroom dance series continues with the balboa!
Join us as we welcome local experts Taylor Stender and Travis Whetman to lead us in a night of the balboa, a type of swing dance that emerged in Southern California during the early 1930s. Our evening will start with an hour-long lesson and followed by two hours of open dance. This event is open to all levels of ballroom dance experience. No dance partner required, but ’20s costumes are encouraged!
The Stimson-Green Dances ballroom dance series transforms the historic Library of the Stimson-Green Mansion into an intimate ballroom once a month to dance a style that would historically have been danced at the Mansion. This event series is brought to you in partnership with Dance for Joy!. Check out the full schedule of ballroom dance nights here.
This event series is a part of our Thursdays at the Stimson-Green Mansion community programming. All proceeds support the community work of the Washington Trust for Historic Preservation. Thank you for your support!
