Preserving Historic County Courthouses
Since 2005, the Historic County Courthouse Grant Program has invested over $21,000,000 through more than 60 grants awarded to 26 county courthouses across Washington. These grants support local economies and help preserve these diverse and valuable local landmarks. Throughout its life, the Historic County Courthouse Grant Program has leveraged over $53,500,000 in capital improvements, leveraging an additional $1.53 for every dollar allocated by the state.
This program is generously supported by funding from the Washington State Legislature. The grant program is housed within the Washington State Department of Archaeology & Historic Preservation (DAHP), and managed under contract by the Washington Trust.
