A legacy of local preservation support

Each year, through the Valerie Sivinski Washington Preserves Fund, the Washington Trust for Historic Preservation provides grant funding to community groups and organizations diligently working to preserve local historic resources across the state. Since the first grant round in 1998, the Valerie Sivinski Fund has awarded around $270,000 in cash grants and building assessment services to more than 200 projects across the state to local historic preservation organizations and advocates.

Funding for the grant program comes from the proceeds raised at our annual Valerie Sivinski Holiday Benefit and from generous private donations to the Valerie Sivinski Fund throughout the year.
