All of us at the Washington Trust for Historic Preservation were extremely saddened to see the catastrophic flooding across the state in December 2025. Our hearts are with the thousands of residents, business owners, and communities impacted by this historic flooding. We compiled a list of resources for anyone seeking guidance or assistance with flood relief and recovery efforts.
If anyone would like to share information about historic resources or properties in your community that were damaged or lost in the December flooding with the Washington Trust, please email .
Federal/National Resources
- The Heritage Emergency National Task Force (HENTF), a public-private partnership between FEMA and the Smithsonian Institution, is supporting response and recovery efforts of Washington’s arts & culture sector—and the public. - HENTF’s Save Your Family Treasures guidance is available at https://www.fema.gov/disaster/recover/save-family-treasures.
